Utah Lake Festival June 2014

Utah Lake holds a festival every summer, and this most likely being our last summer in Utah (depending on when we decide to move next spring/summer) we decided to add it to our list of summer activities bucket list. It wasn't exactly what we were expecting, it was mostly a bunch of canopy booths set-up with representatives from different Utah organizations telling us about their cause. Most of them did hand out candy, though, so that was a family-friendly plus!

Waits chillin' with his sucker:

Hee Haw Farms (our absolute favorite Fall/Halloween family date), brought in a tractor pulled hay ride to advertise for their summer activities, which we may just have to check out later this summer (If it is ever cool enough one of these Tuesdays)!

On our hayride. We were sure wishing to back in the shade about halfway through!

Lastly, we hit up the kids games and crafts canopies just before leaving. The girls got lots of Easter eggs filled with candy (My guess is that the City of Provo parks and rec had a lot left over from their Easter egg hunt in April and needed a way to get rid of them), and a couple of super cute fish crafts.

As I said earlier, it wasn't exactly what we were expecting entertainment wise, but it was an interesting way to spend the day as a family, at least. We really do love trying new things.
