Splash Pad 2

Is she not the cutest little thing that you've ever seen in spandex?!?

Taking her much needed milk-break after about 10 minutes of playing hard at the splash pad!

I think that Minnette is finally getting the hang of this splash pad thing... usually she stands around watching the other kids play in the water, looks around at Kyle and I and then decides to make a break for Starbucks! Now she actually plays in the water a little!

The sprayers change every couple minutes from sprinkler mode, to fountain mode, and back again. Minnette would always get drawn in during the fountain mode, (pictured above) then the water would suddenly stop for a couple of seconds and start spraying everywhere like crazy... She never quite figured this out -or cared for it much- and would freeze as soon as the water started spraying her, drop whatever toys she was playing with and start RUNNING towards us and then want me to pick her up!

Say Cheese!

As previously mentioned in a recent post, Minnette has learned how to smile for the camera. And not just any regular smile, but a super cheesy Minnoodle smile! I have been able to successfully document what happens any time Kyle or I try to take her picture:

And here are the results of our breakfast-time photo shoot:

And no, these are not just the same picture posted over and over again... even though it may look like it! :)

What a little cheeser!

All by herself!

I absolutely love that Minnette is learning to do so many things. She amazes us every day by accomplishing some new milestone or just makes us laugh with some new side to her personality. At the same time though, it makes me so sad that she is growing up WAY TOO FAST, and there doesn't seem to be a THING that I can do about it! ::sniff::sniff:: For example, I have been giving Minnette some breakfast independence and letting her learn how to feed herself- Which is so cute and hilarious to watch, and seems like a little thing, but it is just one more thing that she no longer needs me for! :'(

Here she is feeding herself a new breakfast time FAVE- yogurt!

34 Weeks

•I am pretty sure that I have finally reached the point in this pregnancy that my stomache is BIGGER than it was at the END of my pregnancy with Minnette.

•We are almost completely prepared for little Aurelle's arrival. Bassinet set up, check. Baby clothes hung up, check. Newborn/size 1 diapers in stock, check! Basically all I have left to do is to begin the endeavor of decorating the nursery, and to install the carseat base into the car in a couple of weeks. Maybe it's just because I'm married to an Eagle Scout but I love being prepared!

•So far, everything has gone flawlessly and I absolutely LOVE being pregnant. The second time around has gone by so much faster than the first and I can not believe that she is due in less than a month and a half!

Splash Pad

It is sad, but true that today was Minnette's first time playing at the splash pad. How have we possibly gone the ENTIRE summer without taking her there?! She LOVED it. We should go every day, and we probably will from now on! She was a little hesitant or maybe a little confused at first, but she ended up having a blast. We are definitely going back soon and making up for all the lost time that we have not spent at the splash pad this summer!

Minnette in all her beach-bod glory:
... are those not the cutest buns in the world?? Ugh, this girl kills me with cuteness!

Who doesn't want to just pinch that little cheek?!?!

Minnette making off with someone else's toys. She wouldn't go anywhere without them... we'll bring our own toys next time, I swear!

Spaghetti Face

Minnette's first spaghetti encounter and she loves this stuff. Like most one year olds the only utensils she uses are her fingers so a big pile of spaghetti on her highchair tray equals one giant mess! Messy and cute as heck!
This is the face we get now every time we take a picture of Minnette. We call it her cheeser! Please take notice of how she makes this face in EVERY SINGLE PICTURE... she is so hilarious.

And this is the end result:

Now I know why my mom used to do "topless spaghetti nights" when we were little... don't worry-we were REALLY little!

They're Buds

Best buds... every minute that Minnette is in her crib- unless she's really upset, then Mr. Froggy gets evicted and I find him on the floor. Mr. Froggy has been added to my weekly laundry routine due to the amount of love that he gets nap after nap. You'd have to be the devil not to think this is cute!

Silly Minnette

We have started taking out and setting back up some of our baby equipment so that we can be completely ready in about a month for little Aurellybelle's arrival in less than two months! Minnette, of course, has been extremely interested in some of the artifacts from her past sitting all around the house and plays with them often...
Did you know that this swing can hold up to 60 pounds??! At least that is what the box says. Well, we were only able to test it out at 25 lbs... ;)

After a brief struggle falling asleep for nap-time this is how I found her! And I could NOT stop laughing. I just had to get Kyle so that he could see... and then I just had to get the camera :)

2009 Summer Vacation: Munns Family Reunion

Believe it or not, there actually is a theme to these pictures. They are all from our family vacation we went on a MONTH ago and I never posted pictures from! We are actully missing some that were taken on someone else's camera, but I know it will take me an eternity to getting around to getting those pictures (as well as getting them THEIR pictures... sorry Aftin!) and posting them, so I'll just work with what I have at the moment!
Some hilarious pictures of Minnette:
The ping pong
The mohawk

Here she is very excited about a duck that she is watching
Our family at Lagoon

The Munns (Kyle's Grandma) family reunion picture
(Minnette was asleep)

There were four of us that were pregnant. Here we are lined up from biggest (farthest along) to smallest (most recently pregnant)
And here is the progressive pregnancy profile shot

Exciting Tuesday

Yesterday was quite the day for the Willman family, I must say! All of the fun and excitement including but not limited to: blood, a black eye, jury duty, Hunger Games and stupid dogs! Sounds like a day of great blogging to me! :)

I guess it all actually started Monday night while I was making dinner and Kyle was upstairs giving Minnette a bath. All of a sudden I hear Kyle yelling-no, SCREAMING my name from the top of the stairs. Oh no. I come running up to find Kyle standing in the hallway with a soaking wet and crying Minnette, and there is BLOOD POURING our of her eye! If that is not one of the scariest things I'll ever see in my life, then I don't want to see anymore! Naturally, I panic and all I can think is Oh my gosh, she is going to be blind! Kyle is freaking out (and that is putting it mildly) while I am trying to figure out what the heck happened. She was kneeling in the tub and slipped and hit her face on the side of the tub. Normally not a huge deal, but she hit it just the right way so that the skin above her eye split open and started just gushing blood. Blood mixed with water... looks like a LOT more blood than it actually is. I dried her off, and held a tissue to her eyelid for like 10 seconds and the bleeding completely stopped. So an absolutely terrifying sight turns out to be a small cut on Minnette's eyelid and a black eye the next day. She is such a tough girl- come to find out she was only crying because Kyle's yelling scared her. She never actually cried from hitting her eye!! What a trooper!

Here's the most recent picture of our Princess turned Goonies baby:

The cut is on the very left side of her eyelid... the purple you see on the right is just her shiner :)

I was also blessed with the opportunity to serve my first ever jury duty. Yay me. But all in all it wasn't so bad. I was really hoping to end up on-call and not have to go in at all... but I got the next best thing. I got sent home at 11:00! Not too shabby. Always glad to do my civic responsibilities!

And what did I do while I was sitting in the juror assembly room for 3 hours of my day? Why, I'm glad you asked. I was reading this new book, Catching Fire. Heard of it? IT WAS AWESOME. How awesome? Finished-it-in-6-hours awesome! Can't-wait-another-year-for-the-third-book-to-come-out awesome. Seriously, you need to read it. If you don't want to sit on a waiting list to borrow it from the library, or spend the $12 to get your own copy... you need to call me so you can borrow mine! Of course that's only if you've already read Hunger Games. And if you haven't- shame on you!

And last but not least, as if this poor girl hasn't already been through enough... stupid Flash jumped up while I was holding Minnette and scratched the crap out of her leg!

The battle wound:

Poor baby.

Stupid dog.
