Bye-Bye Baby Tub!

Minnette had her first bath in the big girl tub today!

And she looooves those foam letters (in case you were wondering)!!

MY FAVORITE!!

8 months

I can't believe that my baby is EIGHT MONTHS OLD already. (She turned eight months on the 16th...) It has gone by way too fast! :(

Minnette is the most amazing baby we could have ever asked for and we absolutely LOVE every minute we have her! She is so darn HAPPY all the time and has such a sweet spirit. She makes us so happy every single day!

What Minnette has learned to do:

•Hold her own bottle

•Feed herself basically ANY kind of food I put on her highchair tray including avocado, banana, steamed veggies and tomato!

•Sit up all by herself, and by that I mean go from laying on her tummy to sitting up and back again completely unassisted

•Roll (she's been doing this for a while, but she still absolutely loves to roll- especially when someone is trying to change her diaper!!)

•"Read" her books. I use the term "read" loosely because my eight month can not in fact, ACTUALLY read, but she likes to flip through the pages of her books and look at the pictures.

•Sign for milk. At first I thought she was trying to wave, and then I realized she was actually doing her first sign!

•Use a sippy cup! I am very proud of this fact and am attempting to make a switch from bottles to just sippy cups before she is 1. (Call me a crazy mom, but I refuse to have a toddler that carries around binkys OR bottles!)

•Clap. She has caught onto this one because I excessively sing "If You're Happy and You Know It" to her.

•CRAWL!!!! Minnette is officially on the move, although she doesn't use this power lightly. By that I mean she won't crawl for just anything. It HAS to be something she considers worthwhile like Daddy's shoes, or a laundry basket full of clean clothes she can pull out and play with!

12 weeks!

We had another ultrasound today and get some new pictures of the new munchkin... it looks a lot more human this time!

I know the 3-D pictures have a tendency to just look creepy (if you can even tell what you're looking at), but I thought this one was so cute. I can't believe that people used to have to wait until their babies were born just to know if they even had two arms and two legs! CRAZY...

One year ago

18 week ultrasound when we found out we were having a baby girl, and I can't believe that it was ONLY a year ago... and at the same time I can't believe that it was a WHOLE year ago, either! Time flies, but I feel like I've been a mother forever!

April 3, 2009:

We just had our 9 week ultrasound of the new little peanut! That's right... we are having another baby! Due November 2nd!

According to his/her first measurements this little munchkin is scaling in around 2 whole centimeters!
