Aurelle Eiley Willman

Our precious little girl is here!
7 lbs 1 oz, 20 in
Aurelle arrived early in the morning on Saturday after only 2 1/2 hours of labor. I woke up around 3:30 to some mean contractions, we arrived at the hospital at 5:17 AM and I was already dilated to a 9... and little Aurelle made her appearance at 6:09! My AMAZING doctor approved me for an epidural STAT and Aurelle came after less than 10 minutes of pushing. She has been the best baby and we are completely in love! Minnette still doesn't know what to think about everything that is going on, but is happy to have a baby around, likes to push her in her swing, enjoys giving baby Aurelle "loves" and has even helped me burp her! Minnette is going to be such a great big sister.

Jinxed

38 1/2 weeks and counting!

Still pregnant... and puffy as ever!
I think that my doctor may have jinxed me by putting me on restricted activity back at 34 weeks. I was having a lot of contractions and had already started to dilate and she was concerned that I would not make it past 35 weeks... well, obviously, I did. Then by 36 weeks she was certain that I wouldn't even make it to my next appointment... well, we cleared that and have since passed the 38 week mark over 4 days ago, although already dilated to 5 cm!! My doctor just started laughing when she checked me, and was originally going to schedule me for an induction on Monday (39 weeks) but then thought that I wouldn't make it anyway and would probably go into labor any minute (and told me to keep the option of an ambulance in mind for when I did go into labor, because I probably wouldn't have much time...) and well... here I am! Almost 39 weeks and STILL PREGNANT! I don't want to sound like I am complaining or anything... I love being pregnant. Really. Crazy, I know, but I do. I just find it funny that I was SO SURE that I would never make it this far, and I am sure that my doctor is going to freak out when she sees me back in her office next week! (and I refuse to say otherwise, or I will inevitably end up going 2 weeks overdue! I probably just jinxed myself again...)
And my most recent of symptoms... swollen gramma feet! Cankles and all!
I just knew you wanted to see them!
How many more weeks of this?? Bring it on!!

Any day now...

I have exactly 3 weeks left until my due date. As of my last appointment (on the 8th) I was already dilated to 2 cm. My doctor will be out of town next week and told me to just schedule my next appointment for after she gets back, because she doesn't think that I'm going to make it that long anyway! But... who knows? It could literally happen any minute now, or it could be three weeks... or MORE! I have been having contractions on a somewhat regular basis for about the last 4 weeks, and in the last few days they have started coming as frequently as every 3-5 minutes for about an hour or so and then they just stop and pick back up at their typical 3-4 per hour pace. Let's just say that baby Aurelle is being quite the little tease these days! We have had absolutely everything ready for her much anticipated arrival for about the last 3 weeks now and are only waiting for the sweet baby girl to make her appearance! We are so excited to be starting this new phase in our lives (the one where we get to say "our DAUGHTERS" or "the girls" when referring to our children, and the one where we realize that in a little less than 2 years our little family has DOUBLED!!!) We are so grateful for the opportunity to be parents, and for the precious little spirits that Heavenly Father entrusts us with... and we just can't wait to meet our new little girl!

I just can't seem to help myself...

...whenever I see those chubby cheeks in action!

An old favorite that I thoght I would share with you... just for the heck of it!

The Park

The weather has been so beautiful the last couple of weeks and we have been soaking up every single chance that we can get out of the house and enjoy it. Earlier this week we decided to take Minnette to the playground and have a picnic at the park!

We brought a little snack with us for Minnette... OLIVES! She loves them...
and of course she knows the only way to eat them...
is off your fingers!!! That's my girl!
