If this isn't the cutest thing you've ever seen- then I just don't know what cute is!

Since her first birthday, we have added on to Minnette's nightly routine! That's right... every night before bed we sit Minnette on her potty and give her a treat at an attempt to encourage her to want to use it. Ok, we're not doing potty-training bootcamp or anything, we just have her sit on the potty for a couple minutes and cheer her on! My goal is to have her mostly (if not all the way... cross your fingers!!) potty-trained by 18 months. Hey, it's been done before! Why not??

This is Minnette clapping with us while we shout "Yay for sitting on the potty!" I don't think she really gets what's happening, but she thinks it is great!

Kyle is singing "If You're Happy and You Know It"... and she is clapping along. She loves it when we sing to her on the potty!

And this one must be of her contemplating just how great it is going to be when she is potty-trained in 6 months or so. Either that, or she must be thinking how silly her parents are for singing "Three Monkeys Swinging in a Tree" in the bathroom!

30.5 weeks!

Less than 10 weeks to go and still expanding!

View from the top!

•I can't believe we have less than 10 weeks (hopefully less...) until baby Aurelle is going to be here!
•We are in the process of setting up our very own baby furniture (Minnette has been crashing in my parent's crib for the last year) and we will hopefully be done by the end of the week!
•The plan is to dig out baby clothes/supplies next week (two months to due date) and be completely ready to go (clothes hung up, newborn diapers, binkys, bassinet, hospital bag packed, etc.) at one month before my due date. And since Minnette made her appearance 3 weeks early, I don't feel that we can be prepared too early!

Rearranging Furniture

Since she's been pulling herself up on things and practicing her walking skills, one of Minnette's favorite things to do is to push random pieces of furniture around the house. Her transportation of choice: CHAIRS

She actually seems to prefer pushing chairs around to playing with any of her toys and will do this all day long if she can! Some days we will end up with 3 or 4 chairs in random parts of the downstairs!

Scratch

This is what happens when Minnette is so excited by Lily (Grandma and Grandpa Willman's dog) that she falls over... into a lawn chair!

Guess who found Mommy's jewelery?

Now that Minnette can pull herself up on anything and everything in the house, there are a lot of things that she can get into that we never even had to think about before... including my jewelery box!

Her tippy-toe maneuver- how she reaches most things!
And throw it on the ground!

She sure is cute when she is being mischevious! (just wait until she has a partner in crime and they start conspiring against me!!)

29 weeks... well, I was 4 days ago!

I had Dr.'s appointment yesterday, and everything is looking good and baby Aurelle is already head-down (or in what I call "launching position"!) I have just over 10 weeks left until my due date and I get to start going to my Dr. every 2 weeks now!

It's been a whole year!

Our baby is ONE YEAR OLD! Where does the time go?? Here are some never before seen images/videos out of the Willman vault so that we may all appreciate the first day of the best year (so far) for the Willman Family!
My first time holding Minnette just moments after she was born.
*I remember this moment being so unreal. A lot of people cry when their baby is born. I didn't. I just remember Kyle and I looking at her, and then staring at each other in unbelief just thinking "I can't believe this is ours!"

Getting weighed in. 7 lbs 13 oz!

Minnette's first video... getting measured!

Can you tell he loves this girl? The day he fell in love... and he's been wrapped around her tiny little finger ever since!

After her first bath (which we unfortunately don't have any record of) the nurse cleaned out all those beautiful creases... and she was not a big fan! :)

The new and improved Willman Family

Being strapped into her car seat for the first time (not a big fan of that either!)

She hasn't used this car seat in months, but just for comparison's sake we strapped her in one more time just to see the immense amount of growth that has happened in the last year!!

ONE YEAR STATS:

WEIGHT: 24 lbs 5 oz - 91%

HEIGHT: 30 in - 78%

HEAD: 46 cm - 77%

MINNETTE'S FRIST BIRTHDAY PARTY

We had a small get together of family and a couple friends for Minnette's first birthday party.

Eating her first piece of cake

Some of the goodies I made for her party... Ice cream cone cupcakes!

Oh, and some of these, too. Cake Pops= Delish!

Playing with some of her many, many birthday presents. This girl made out like a bandit!
