Donut Picnic- Mar 2013

Whenever Kyle has a morning or weekend off of class and studying,
we always try to make the most of it as a family.
Whenever it's a nice day outside, we try to head outdoors for the day.
And anytime the fates align and Kyle happens to have a free day off of school and it is a rare sunny and warm March day in Provo *gasp and rejoice*: you will find us eating donuts in the mountains, of course. That's what everyone does on their day off, right?

Utah, when you are not covered in black, slushy snow, you can be quite exceptionally breathtaking, you know? You should try it more often.

Minnette and Aurelle enjoying their chocolate milks and frosting covered fried dough with a view:

Jovi prefers to "experience" her food. And milk in the middle of her forehead is merely a side effect. :)

My cinnamon roll was literally as big as my head!

Minnette had a short turn behind the camera. I love looking back through pictures that she's taken and being able to see all of the things that she found to be important or beautiful. It's like getting to see the world through her eyes for a moment.

And what's a photo sesh with the four year old without a couple of finger shots:

I recall this picture in the making, and it was very carefully planned and staged:

And this seriously kills me because it is just so adorable. She re-positioned and shot this pair of flip-flops from multiple angles. I love her so much I almost can't handle it.

In fact, I was, and still am, incredibly impressed by the advanced artistic thought process involved. ;)

What does your family like to together when the weather is nice?
