Sick girl

A little while ago sickness struck the Willman/Murphy household. We were all out of commission (and I mean ALL except for Grandma) for at least a week with sore throats, congestion, coughs, fevers and sinus infections- ugh! These pictures were taken the Sunday after we all got sick, and as sad as it is, I love how you can just see on her face how sick she was... our poor, sick baby!

Nap Time Reading

This is how I found Minnette during her after-chrch nap a couple of weeks ago:
She had fallen asleep reading The Cat in the Hat (one of her current favorite books)!

Baby Ducks Easter 2010

Jamie Harper, a Sister in our ward (who also took our engagement pictures), did this awesome Easter photo shoot of our girls with real baby ducks! It was so funny to watch how both of them reacted to taking pictures with these little guys. Minnette was so excited and kept sayin "quack quack" over and over again and actually almost accidentally drowned one of the ducks, while Aurelle was only interested in trying to get one of them in her mouth! Jamie did an amazing job, I love them! Thanks so much, Jamie!

Converse Babe Sr.

I love finding gems like these at Other Mothers. Have I mentioned before that I LOVE that place? Because I do. Did you know that some people actually pay full price for their kids clothes/shoes?? Crazy, I know!

St. Patty's Day 2010

The leprechauns left behind a couple of their "pots of gold"... and they just happened to be full of toys that Minnette and Aurelle would love!
These girls definitely lucked out this year!
This is now Minnette's favorite toy! Not a day has gone by that she hasn't played with it. She loves to take it outside, and often tries to bring it with her when we go to the store! Those leprechauns sure know what they are doing!

Kyle was suprised to find some treasure left behind for him as well, containing a Man vs. Wild DVD (Bear Grylls is his hero!), beef jerky and green candy! Our festivities were kicked off with a special St. Patty's Day breakfast. Our breakfast menu consisted of Lucky Charms and GREEN Odwalla juice: Minnette loved it... and ended up eating only the marshmellows out of her Lucky Charms! For lunch we had chips and guacamole, quesadillas made with spinnach tortillas and mint chocolate chip milkshakes! I made the mistake of wanting EVERYTHING to be green, so I added green food dye to the sour cream for our quesadillas and to the cool whip for our shakes... let me just say that green food that is not naturally green is not very appetizing! I kept expecting the sour cream to taste like mint. Dinner was a little more appetizing. We had pesto pasta, ceaser salad, rolls with green butter and GREEN martinelli's.
And for dessert we had rainbow jello!
And of course we were all wearing GREEN!

I LOVE going all out for holidays. This year was my first attempt and not everything turned out, but I already have some good ideas planned for next year!

Where's Aurelle?

Where did Aurelle go??
There she is!!
Funny thing is, not only does Aurelle not mind when Minnette sits on her like this... she actually LIKES it! She thinks it is hilarious... BABIES!! :)

Easter Dresses

Since Easter was the same weekend as General Conference, Minnette and Aurelle wore their Easter dresses from Grandma Murphy to church the Sunday before Easter:
Minnette was so proud of being able to hold Aurelle all by herself!

Woops! Nice save, Mommy!
What sweet girls!

Converse Babe.

The cutest little things you've ever seen on pudgy feet!
Cute chubs, too :)

Who, me??
She is so gorgeous!

Oh, sad face! :(

Our new place

We have officially (as of last Thursday) reserved our new (to us) apartment that will more than likely be our new home for the next 3+ years!! The apartment is avaiable starting May 13th... so we will be packing up and leaving Phoenix the morning of the 12th. That gives us just over a month for not only packing, but packing and planning a road trip with TWO BABIES!!
We are so excited to finally have our own place... as much as we are going to miss Phoenix and all those we love here, we are so excited to be on our own!! We reserved a 3 room apartment on campus so coordinating our family aroud Kyle's work/school schedule and only having 1 car should be a complete breeze since Kyle will be able to walk/ride his bike to all of his classes! We really lucked out being able to get the apartment that we wanted, one with growing room for the next several years. Here's the floor plan for our soon-to-be HOME SWEET HOME:
