Cream of Wheat

This little girl loves her breakfast! It doesn't matter if it's pancakes, oatmeal, cream of wheat or cold cereal... both her and Minnette will eat more than Kyle or I do most mornings. And somedays it seems like the more she likes it, the less it actually makes it into her mouth!

I can't help but think of the Beast eating his oatmeal in Beauty and the Beast when I see Aurelle eat her cream of wheat!

Puffy Jackets

In honor of the longest winter that I have ever experienced, I'd like to share some cute pictures of the girls modeling their puffy winter jackets which has been a wardrobe staple of theirs for the last several months. You know, the kind of jackets we would NEVER have owned while in Phoenix... but the girls have had to wear on a daily basis here in Provo since NOVEMBER! :)

At least they're cute! ;)

Oh, and it is supposed to snow again tomorrow... and it's almost MAY! Yikes!!

In a Tight Spot

Aurelle tried crawling (or should I say she successfully attempted crawling) into one of the cabinets of our entertainment unit and ended up getting a little stuck: She didn't seem to be in too much distress about her situation at first...

...that was until she realized that Mommy was taking pictures instead of helping her out- then she got a little upset:

Anytime Kyle or I have the camera out, Minnette wants to have her picture taken. And this time, since I was taking pictures of Aurelle in the cabinet, Minnette wanted me to take pictures of her in the cabinet, too! This is her insisting on trying to squeeze into the cabinet , which she is definitely too big for, so that I can take her picture:

All dressed up and nowhere to go...

Sometimes Daddy's church clothes get a little extra use out of them when we're not at church...

And sometimes Minnette and Aurelle have a little fun digging in their dresser after waking up from their naps:These pictures were taken in February, and Minnette is wearing a 6 month sized beach hat, a bathing suit as a backpack and panties over her pants! She's ready for summer??Looking good, girls!But where exactly are you planning to go all dressed up like that?! :)

Lets Go Fly a Kite

On some of the nicer days, weather-wise, last week, Kyle thought it would be a fun idea to take the girls out to the field next to our apartment and fly a kite that they had gotten from their Grandpa Willman last summer. The girls (especially Minnette) had an absolute blast running around the field chasing the kite while Kyle tried to get it in the air (it wasn't exactly ideal kite flying conditions, I guess) and they even both got to help Daddy fly the kite once it was finally up!

Little Piggies

It has occasionally begun to actually feel like spring around here... so in preparation for the day when the sun finally decides to come out and stay... these little piggies are ready!

Minnette is sporting a subtle yet sophisticated alternating tangerine orange and hot pink combo:

While Aurelle, due to a bad case of the wiggles while mommy was pinning her down to paint her nails, models the simpler mono-hot pink look:Are those not just the cutest little toes that you ever did see??

Sandal weather: here we come!

Don't be jealous...

...that after three joyous and remarkable days straight of beautiful 70+ degree weather, short-sleeved t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops... that this is what we woke up to:

Friday Night Family Date Night

Date nights for Kyle and I can be hard to come by at times due to varying reasons, and sometimes we just decide to plan a "family date night" instead. We go out to eat somewhere kid-friendly and find something cheap (or in this case... FREE) for our family to do for the night. We found out about this place called "Jump on It" which is absolutely free for children 3 and under, and since Kyle and I were not planning on jumping, just supervising, we got in for free, too! There is a special netted-off area just for little kids that is completely enclosed and padded, so we set Minnette and Aurelle loose and they went crazy for an entire hour! They loved it and had such a blast! This may become a new FHE/family date night frequent!

Unfortuately, blogger wouldn't upload any of the super-hilarious videos we have of the girls jumping around and playing, so I guess you'll just have to trust me that they are pretty entertaining and enjoy just the pictures instead!

Minnette was doing all kinds of tricks... bouncing on her bottom, rolling, and even doing gymnastics which involves practicing back-dives right into the trampoline, which she thinks is like doing a back handspring!

Aurelle LOVES balls... they are one of her favorite things. Needless to say, she was pretty excited when she found a ball while jumping, and wouldn't let it go: Afterwards, we went home and the girls had popsicles! You could say it was a GOOD night!
