Well, we got our little guy home, and I am very sad to say that we did not get any pictures of the birthday decorations my mom put up for him! There was a sign on the front door that said "Welcome Home Waits", and she had decorated with balloons, streamers, Christmas lights, the works! We decided to throw our first-ever day-of-birth party after Jovi was born in order to help the girls be more excited about the new baby coming home. What little kid doesn't love a birthday party? It worked like a charm and was super fun, so we decided to keep the tradition going! On the way home we picked up some pizzas and a birthday cake so that we could celebrate his birth as a family.

Yes, that is a Christmas tree still up in our living room, in February. The girls loved coming out in the mornings while it was still dark and reading books quietly by the Christmas tree lights, so we left it up. It sadly came down shortly after this picture was taken :(
What can I say? I love Christmas!
