The last couple of days have certainly been interesting- to say the least- for our little family. After my early morning false labor trip on Sunday morning, Kyle and I found ourselves, yet again, at the hospital on Monday afternoon.
While carrying a heavy box down to our car, Kyle rolled his ankle walking down the stairs. Kyle said it made a nasty crunching noise when he fell, and wasn't sure whether or not it was broken, so we made our second trip in just two days to the hospital. Luckily, it turned out to just be a really bad sprain, but we are so glad we decided to go to the emergency room to have it x-rayed since the ER Doctor told us that considering the ankle is, as he says, "a giant soup bowl of bones" it can, at times, be impossible to tell the difference between a bad sprain and a fracture without getting a x-ray of the area. Kyle came home with an ankle splint, a very stylish hospital sock and our very first pair of crutches!
The second the girls were down for the night, Kyle passed out, but still managed to make sure to keep his ankle elevated in the process :)
Told you that sock was stylish!
And here is his ankle the day after... still super swollen and starting to bruise:
Kyle has already been able to go without crutches for part of the day today, and it should definitely be feeling much better within about a week. Let's just hope Baby Jovi doesn't make her appearance until Kyle can get around a little better, or Kyle will be the one asking me to get up and get the baby for him while we are in the hopsital!

Oh, Boo! That sucks :( It's a good thing he's pretty tough, though, or else you would have FOUR BABIES on your hands soon!
